BEEP BEEP BEEP BEE-
CLICK
Crystal slowly wakes up, mentally cursing her alarm clock. She slowly sits up as she imagines her room, everything neat and tidy with the help of her mother and father. The floor is clean, and next to her bed is a desk with a set of clothes on it, her backpack, and her homework that she worked on last night. She sighs as she takes the blankets off of her, revealing her pink nightgown that she wears since it is easier than normal pajama’s.
She slowly puts her bare feet on the floor, and stands up straight. She takes two steps forward, turn to her right, and brings her hand out to feel for her new clothes. She feels the cloth of the skirt that she usually wears, and smiles to herself as she takes off her nightgown, and starts dressing herself.
Once finished, she grabs a comb her mother left behind, and starts brushing her hair straight. She is always very self-conscience about her looks since she can’t see what she looks like herself. “Crystal? You awake?” Crystal hears her mom say as she knocks on Crystal’s door.
“Yes, mom. I’m up, thanks for checking up on me.” Crystal replies back as she puts her shirt on over her bra. As she checks her skirt, shirt, headband, her stockings, and then her heart shaped necklace, which is very important and precious to her, her mother replies back in her usual calm voice.
“Alright, honey. Breakfast is almost ready, we’re having eggs and sausages today!” With that, her mother cheerfully walks away from the door, towards the kitchen where Crystal smells breakfast now. She blushes slightly as her stomach growls, and then rubs it slightly. After checking once again to make sure her clothes are on right, she grabs her backpack, slings it on her shoulders, and then leaves her room, excited to have her mother’s cooking again.

Chase smiles happily as he enters math class, one of his worst subjects but one of his favorites. His reason why is the shy, blind girl that sits right behind him. He meets her eyes, remembering just how blue they were before she lost her sight so many years ago. As he goes to his seat, he spots a poster that their math teacher, Mr. Biggs, has put up near the back of the classroom.
The poster is of two teenagers, one a boy in a nice tux and the other that of a girl in a nice dress, the two of them dancing while a spot light is on them. Below them is the word, ‘Prom’, and then the date of the prom, which is tonight. Chase sucks in a deep breath, and then sits down in his seat.
“H-Hey Crystal.” Chase manages to stutter, watching Crystal’s head automatically turn towards him. “Good day so far?” Chase has no idea why he is making such small talk when he knows how she will answer.
“Oh, Ch-Chase! It has been a pretty good day so far, thanks for asking.” Chase gulps as three girl teenagers walk into the classroom, talking about their excitement for the prom. Chase chuckles nervously then, unsure of how to say it to her.
“W-Well, that’s good.” Dear god, Chase should have learned how to talk to girls before attempting this. “So, Crystal, You got anything planned for tonight?” Crystal starts thinking, Chase wondering if she has caught unto what he is hoping to ask her.
“No, not for tonight. Why? You want to come over for another tutoring session?” Chase scratches the back of his head, his heart beat racing so hard that it feels like it will pop right out of his chest.
“Well, not exactly, but I am actually hoping, you know, just as friends, but go to the prom? You know, just as a little get together? Nothing serious, of course.” The look on Crystal’s face is one of immense shock and surprise, her cheeks lit up like fireworks on the fourth of July.
“P-Prom?!” Crystal asks, her right hand being held over her heart, which is beating like bongo drums. Chase starts worrying that he asked too suddenly, or maybe he asked too directly. Oh god, what if this makes things more awkward around the two of them if she says no? Chase wishes that he did not ask the question at all now. “S-Sure, I-I would love to go out with you.”
On the other hand, this could end up being a very good night. Chase smiles widely, and then clasps his hands together. “Great!” Chase exclaims, causing Crystal to jump in surprise. “I’ll pick you up tonight at seven-thirty! How does that sound?”
Crystal smiles lightly, Chase blushing at how cute she looks when she smiles. “T-That sounds wonderful, Chase. I’m sure that I can get a dress from my mother, she usually keeps those sort of things around.” Chase opens his mouth, about to say how he already bought a suit a while ago, but is interrupted when a rough voice cuts him off.
“Alright everyone, sit down and be quite. Class will begin right… now!” The bell goes off, and everyone sits in their chairs, Crystal looking down at her notebook and acts like she is taking notes, which Mr. Biggs won’t notice she wouldn’t be able to tell what she wrote later since she can’t read her own handwriting, but she is actually writing Chase’s name over and over again.
Both Crystal and Chase cannot wait for the Prom tonight.

“This one looks very nice!” Crystal’s mother says as she holds out another dress for Crystal to feel. “It’s a light blue, the same color as your hair. I wore that when I went to the prom with your father, back when we were high school sweet hearts.” Crystal’s mother says cheerfully, reminiscing about her teen days.
Crystal reaches out, and feels the material of the dress. “W-Wow, this feels really nice. What is it made of?” Crystal’s mom starts thinking, and then replies with a grunt, probably shrugging her shoulders as she does so.
“I got it so long ago, I don’t quite remember, but it will look very nice on you!” Crystal brings it closer to her body, feeling the soft clothing under her hands. “Here, let me help you get it on. After that, wait in here until I come and get you. Okay?” Crystal nods, too happy to form words as small drops of tears start rolling down her face.

Chase always gets the same feelings whenever he meets Crystals parents. With her mother, he feels like he can talk with her about anything, which is a good thing for her since she is a psychiatrist. She has long, light blue hair that reaches down to her shoulders, bright green eyes that seem to calm Chase down, and is almost as tall as Chase.
Crystal’s father scares the shit out of Chase, which is a good thing for a police officer. He has a body that most male models will be jealous of, his muscles looking like they can crack a coconut in half by just flexing his muscles, has bright blue eyes that look like they can be gentle, but right now is shooting daggers at Chase. He is a good two heads taller than Chase, his arms crossed over his masculine abs that look like they can deflect bullets by just puffing his chest out. His hair, which is as black as the night sky, is combed back, causing him to look even more frightening.
“So, Chase, you are interested in our daughter, am I correct?” Chase’s mother asks, shich, if Chase remembers, her name is Annabeth. Chase nods his head, smiling as he feels one set of eyes filled with compassion, and another filled with anger.
“Y-Yes, ma’am. C-Crystal is a very wonderful girl, and I will like to get to know her better.” Chase replies, hoping that the response pleases both of her parents.
“So, what do you plan on doing with my daughter at the prom?” Her father asks, whose name is Jonathan. He seems like he doesn’t like the idea of his little princess going out on a date with Chase. Dear god, Jonathan scares the shit out of Chase.
“W-Well, I am hoping that we get to talk, dance, and have some food together.” Chase replies, adjusting the tie of his suit. Chase needed help from his old man in putting the suit on correctly since Chase has rarely put on a suit. If there is anything wrong with Chase’s suit, he is sure that Jonathan is judging him by it, no matter how small.
“Good, now I want to talk with you real quick.” Jonathan says as he grabs Chase’s shoulder, and escorts him outside. He opens the doors, lets Chase outside first, and then closes the door behind them. “Now, Chase, I am going to tell you this only once.” Jonathan says, crossing his arms as he looks down at Chase. “If you make my little Crystal sad, mad, or regret this night, then I will use all the power I have to make you regret ever breaking my little girl’s heart. You understand me, boy?”
Chase, too scared to speak, only nods his head, keeping eye contact the whole time. Jonathan opens the door again, saying, “I’m so glad you are going to show my daughter a very nice time, and show her the respect she deserves.” Chase walks in, now realizing that he had been holding his breath. Dear god, he hopes he doesn’t break any laws around him.
“C-Chase?” Chase looks up, and his mouth falls open. Crystal still has her hair straight, but instead of the normal clothing that she would usually wear, she is wearing a light blue dress with a sparkling chest area with a cloth around her stomach, keeping the dress’s skirt, which reaches her feet, close to her legs.
 She looks absolutely beautiful.
“Wow.” Chase manages to say, causing Crystal to blush brightly. Jonathan walks up to his daughter, and stands to her side, putting his hand on her shoulder as he smiles a genuine smile. He seems really happy to know that his daughter is happy.
“Well, you two should get going and have a wonderful prom. Oh, and Chase, remember what we talked about earlier.” Jonathan’s gaze suddenly turns cold as he looks straight into Chase’s eyes. Chase nods his head, and replies quickly.
“Y-Yes sir, I won’t forget.” With that, Chase and Crystal walk out the door, Crystal grabbing Chase’s hand as Chase grabs her, Chase not wanting to look back in fear of Crystal’s father.

Crystal and Chase are about halfway to the school now, Crystal blushing slightly as her hands are warmed up by Chase’s hand. She doesn’t need to hold unto Chase’s hand, she has actually memorized the amount of steps and turns until she gets to the school, but she likes the feel of holding Chase’s hand. She leans in towards Chase, feeling her face warm up as she gets closer to Chase.
“Crystal? Are you feeling cold?” Chase asks as his body shifts, probably due to his neck turning towards Crystal. He probably thinks that due to her getting closer to him.
“K-Kinda, the dress doesn’t hold too much heat.” Crystal replies, looking down at the ground. She is confused when she feels Chase slip his hand out of her grip, and she is confused until she feels Chase’s arms wrap around her shoulders. Her face blush’s like a tomato as she realizes that Chase is holding her even closer now.
“How do you feel now?” Chase asks, almost like he doesn’t realize that what he is doing is causing Crystal to blush brightly and her heart beat to quicken. “Any warmer?” Crystal nods her head as she purses her lips. She knows that this moment won’t last forever, so she is going to enjoy this while it lasts.

The gym has completely transformed from its usual boring large room to a large room with multiple colored spotlights, music being played by a giant stereo machine,(The current song being played is some sort of Green Day song) and a lot of dancing teenagers. Chase and Crystal have just entered the gym, Chase’s arm is not around her shoulder’s anymore, but the two are still holding their hands.
“W-Well, what do you feel like doing now?” Chase asks, looking at Crystal again. She looks very beautiful and cute in her dress, so beautiful that Chase can hardly think straight.
“H-How about we get something to eat?” Crystal says, looking up at where she thinks Chase is. “I-I haven’t had dinner yet.” Chase smiles, and then leads her to a small table, and helps her sit down.
Chase makes sure that Crystal is comfortable before saying, “Alright, stay here, Crystal. I’ll be right back with that food.” Chase walks off towards a long, white table that is filled with white paper plates, plastic cups, and trays full of food and cantina’s full of drinks.
Chase picks up two paper plates, and then puts a small amount of green beans, a brownie, and some mashed potatoes on the plates, and then proceeds to walk towards where Crystal is patiently waiting. Chase walks up to where she is, and puts the plate down in front of her. “Here you go, Crystal. I got you one of everything.”
Crystal is about to say how thankful she is for Chase giving her the food, but is interrupted by two of the biggest bullies in the school. “Well, well, looky here, George. Seems like the little Chase is done chasing after Crystal and has finally caught her.” Chase looks up at the two bullies called George and Michael.
Michael is about the same height as Chase, maybe a little smaller than him but not by much. He has scruffy brown hair with dark brown eyes, and he is wearing a suite, but the tie is very loose, causing it to look like it was originally meant for a rhino and not a teenage boy. His jacket is unbuttoned and the top two buttons of his white under-shirt is unbuttoned. His breath smells like alcohol and cigarettes.
George is a good half a head taller than Chase, with enough strength to be able to bash Chase’s head in easily. He has almost no hair, with what he has being black hair, a few cuts and bruises healing up on his face, and he isn’t wearing a suite, but a gym uniform with black and red shorts and a black T-shirt with a flaming skull on it.
George and Michael are half-brothers, George being adopted after his mother gave him up after a little run in with the police he had when he was young, which many people say was caused because of something his mother did, but the important thing to know is that he and Michael are almost exactly the same, which is a bad thing.
“Shut it, Michael. Why are you even here? I doubt you’re here with a date, unless you and George decided to start dating each other.” George seems like he is ready to lunge and start choking Chase, but Michael holds his hand up, stopping George.
“Nice one, Chase, bet I can beat it.” He says, eyeing Crystal. The two of them are known for making fun of Crystal behind her back, even though they know she could hear everything she said. They better try not to ruin this night for Crystal, or Chase may just lose it. “So, Crystal, you wonder why Chase will want to go out with someone like you?”
“Michael, just walk away. I don’t want something started here.” Chase says, but Crystal seems interested in what Michael has to say. She is way too sensitive about the way she looks.
“He’s only dating you because you’re the only girl in the whole school that won’t notice him while he is staring at your bre…”
“SHUT IT!” Chase says as he takes a step forward towards Michael, hand in a fist and about to throw it.
“What is going on here?” The four look in the direction to see Mrs. Herald, their school’s principal, walking towards them. “You four better not be causing trouble.” Mrs. Herald says, her blue eyes, hidden behind her glasses, staying on George and Michael.
“Wouldn’t dream of it.” Michael says as he turns towards the doors. “In fact, We’re leaving right now.” With that, Michael and George leave, probably going to get more alcohol from their father.
Mrs. Herald watches them leave, and then looks at Chase and Crystal. “You two better be quite and enjoy the prom.” With that, Mrs. Herald leaves them, continuing to scan the gym for anything else that the teenagers may be doing wrong.
Crystal stands up, looking down at her dress now. “Crystal?” Chase asks. “You don’t believe them, do you?” Crystal looks up at Chase, a small smile gracing her lips. “N-No, but I… I need some time alone.” With that, she walks past Chase, heading for a set of doors that leads further into the school. Chase is paralyzed, not knowing if he should let her be alone, or chase after her.
Then he remembers Jonathan’s words, and starts lightly jogging towards where Crystal went off to, not sure what to say to her, but he knows he should say something to help her feel better, it’s the least he can do for her.

Crystal has no idea how, but she finds herself on the edge of the roof of the school, her legs dangling over it as she stares out into nothingness. She feels like she should be here, but for what reason she is not sure of. She gulps as she thinks of what Michael said earlier. She doubts he spoke the truth, Chase isn’t like that, but still, why is he here with her?
Crystal has counted herself lucky for being asked out by Chase, but what does he see in her? Does he like her just for her looks, or does he like her for how she is? Does he even truly like her? They are only here as friends, so there is the chance that she is getting her hopes up for nothing.
She really wishes that she could see the stars in the night sky, remembering hwo she use to always be calmed down by their bright lights when she was little. Now all she ever see’s is the blackness of nothingness, which gets absolutely depressing when she wishes she can see something beautiful.
“Crystal?” Crystal looks behind at the sound of Chase’s voice, feeling very dreadful. She doesn’t want to talk with him, not now. “I know you want to be alone, but I just want to tell you that, if you want, we can go somewhere else. I know that you probably don’t want to dance, but if you want, we can go somewhere else.” He sits next to her. “If you want, we can just go to the library and chat there? I’ll take you out somewhere to eat, if you want.”
Crystal smiles as she looks over the edge. “T-Thanks for the option, Chase, but I want to stay here. I just want some fresh air.” She says as she looks up at the sky, hoping to see the moon, even though she knows better.

Chase admires Crystal’s beauty in the moonlight, his heartbeat racing faster as he admires her face. Dear god, she looks so beautiful. Chase starts leaning in, unable to resist himself anymore. His lips meet with Crystals, silencing a surprise yelp from Crystal. Chase’s hand grabs Crystal’s shoulder.
Her lips taste like sweet strawberry, wanting to get closer to Crystal. Soon, Chase’s heart jumps in joy when he feels Crystal return the kiss, leaning in towards Chase. The two continue their heavenly kiss, the two of them separating only because they need the air.
Crystal and Chase smiles, the two unable to believe that the other returns their feelings. “Crystal,”
“Chase,” The two stop, and chuckle. “Y-You go first.” Crystal says as she moves a few strands of hair from her face.
“Chase takes a deep breath, and then starts speaking. “Crystal, for the longest time, I have BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP”

Crystal awakes with a start, her heart beating faster than normal. She groans as she turns the alarm off, smelling the food that her mother is cooking, eggs and sausages. Crystal wishes that she didn’t get waken up from that dream, which is possibly the best dream she ever had in her whole life.

Crystal is sitting in Mr. Bigg’s Math class, talking with Chase. He seems to be making small talk, the words he is speaking like the one he said in his dream, must be a coincidence.
“So, Crystal, you got anything planned for tonight?” Crystal starts thinking, wondering what is happening tonight.
“No, not tonight. Why? You want to come over for another tutoring session?” Wow, this sure does feel familiar. Have they had this conversation before?
“Well, not exactly, but I am actually hoping, you know, just as friends, but go to the prom?” Crystal’s heart beat is beating rapidly now. This is just like… like the dream. “You know, just as a little get together? Nothing serious, of course.”
Have you ever had one of those dreams where you dream of a normal day, and when you wake up, everything that happened in the dream happens that day? Well, that is what I based this story off :) But, will it end up like the dream did, or not? A little story of Shock777's OC's Crystal and Chase :) I hope you all enjoy it :)
